Ballet 422. On October 15 and 16, Diana Vishneva’s Context Festival opened with the evening of the National Ballet of Canada, which presented a ballet by a young talented American choreographer Justin Peck. The reason we wanted to show this film is because Ballet 422 talks about Peck’s work methods and his large-scale production for the New York City Ballet
The documentary, shot with a fly-on-the-wall approach, shows the story of Justin Peck’s debut production for the New York City Ballet dancers. The film is about the ups and downs of the creative process. In the course of 72 minutes, we see how one person’s idea comes to life.
