Music critic Cornelius writes a biography of a famous cellist. He decides to conduct a study of the musician’s life and spend a few days with him at his house. Cornelius doesn't get a chance to interview the musician, but in his conversations with all the women living in the musician's house, the biographer is able to create a true picture of the cellist’s personal life. And thus, Cornelius decided to blackmail the man with the material he's collected.
