A young American girl named Suzie arrives in Germany to study dance at a prestigious Munich ballet school. On the night of her arrival, she is inexplicably denied entry, but witnesses a girl fleeing from the building who later turns up brutally murdered that same night. The misunderstanding is resolved the next morning, Suzie is accepted, and she begins her classes. She must reside in the boarding house attached to the school, where she is served wine laced with sleeping pills at night, yet Suzie senses a looming threat within the school's atmosphere and resolves to uncover what dangers lie ahead.
