Storyline

In 1920, Russian émigré filmmakers who left the country after the October 1917 revolution founded a film production company that would later be known as Films Albatros.

For barely a decade, Films Albatros enjoyed tremendous critical and public success in postwar Europe, and France in particular. Its filmmakers managed to revolutionize French cinema which allowed it to compete with Hollywood. Behind this small film production studio were two Russian-born producers, Joseph Ermolieff and Alexandre Kamenka.
