Blockade football

A documentary-drama film about a historic football match that took place on May 31, 1942 in besieged Leningrad. The game between the teams of Dinamo and Leningrad Metal Plant marked the end of the terrible blockade winter of 1942 and demonstrated that, contrary to the claims of fascist invaders, Leningrad had not become a “city of the dead” - it was alive and continued to fight. The match ended with a score of 6:0 in favor of Dinamo, but this was a victory for everyone: over themselves, over fear, over despair.
