Children of corn

Author of the film ironically talks about its main stages, as a result of which the country has long exported even bread. The narrative, based on the newsreel, is interspersed with inserts from the propaganda cartoon of those years. When the pensioner, who devoted 25 years to the development of a new frost-resistant varieties of corn, still achieved the result, the USSR no longer existed. The final footage of the film (a can of popcorn to the piercing music of Tiger Lillies) is filled with regret and sadness.
