"Lina" is a chamber story about young people in crisis and depression. The heroine, feeling lonely and lost, plans to make a film and starts casting. She constantly hears strange sounds in her apartment and becomes too close with the actors, endowing them with traits of other, closer, people. The characters ask personal important questions: “Are you good? Have you ever loved?” But they sound empty, like commonplaces. Scenes of what’s happening alternate with recordings from the casting on an empty white background, where the actors have to build up reality in order to play emotions sincerely. Depression looks exactly like this—everything has lost its meaning, but we are forced to pretend that we still have feelings.
