I vitelloni

Five young men linger in a postadolescent limbo, dreaming of adventure and escape from their small seacoast town on the Adriatic. Italy is just beginning to recover from war and live a peaceful life. Yet, the vitelloni lead a lazy and fruitless existence, whittling their lives away in childish pursuits and dreaming of escaping to the big city. This is a character study of five young men at crucial turning points in their lives.
