A man worn down by life gets off a train. On the street, he accidentally meets his former school teacher Masquier. They are completely different, yet united by one desire: to live someone else’s life rather than their own. The robber longs for peace and domestic comfort, while outwardly respectable Masquier, tired of routine, craves risk and adventure. They have only three days to understand what they truly want and make a decision.
