Storyline

1925. The International Art Exhibition in Paris. Le Corbusier declares, "The Soviet pavilion is the only one at the whole exhibition worth seeing." The pavilion was designed by Konstantin Melnikov — the rising star of Russian avant-garde. From that moment, the world became captivated by the Soviet architect’s fate. He designs Lenin's sarcophagus, builds garages and workers' clubs, but his true masterpiece is his own house that will become both the pinnacle of his career and his prison. His career was cut short by his own protégé, who placed the architect placed under a career ban. Since then, Melnikov's projects were forever trapped on paper. The documentary unveils the legacy of this visionary architect.
