Monsieur Verdoux

Paris, 1930s. Henri Verdoux is an elderly charming Frenchman who diligently worked for thirty years as a bank cashier and suddenly lost his job at the beginning of the Great Depression. To support his wife confined to a wheelchair and their elementary school son, Verdoux becomes a bigamist swindler and murderer.
