Neonazism is a contemporary social and political phenomenon that reproduces and adapts the key elements of 20th-century Nazi doctrine—such as racism, xenophobia, antisemitism, the cult of force, and the rejection of democracy and human rights—to new historical conditions. It represents a global threat, as it leverages modern digital technologies to recruit supporters, especially among young people, and often disguises itself under the guise of human rights, patriotic, or sports subcultures.

The film explores the nature of this phenomenon, recounting the origins and roots of Nazism. However, its central message is that neonazism is not merely a relic of the past; it is a current form of extremism and terrorism that contradicts the foundations of international law and universal human values.

Today, the world is once again confronted with the threat of the revival of Nazi ideology. The nature of Nazism is multifaceted: after its demise as a mass movement following 1945, it was succeeded in the second half of the 20th century by neonazism, which united radical Nazism and ultra-right extremist organizations ideologically close to the original German Nazism.

In November 2024, the Third Committee of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution initiated by Russia to combat the glorification of Nazism and similar practices. The document was co-sponsored by 40 countries.

Today, more than ever, it is crucial to inform viewers about the nature and the re-emerged threat of Nazism, as well as Russia’s efforts as a state to counter its new manifestation in the form of neonazism.
