The cycle of films about the pioneers of Russian animation includes creators such as Fyodor Khitruk ("Boniface's Vacation" and "Winnie-the-Pooh"), Evgeny Migunov ("When Christmas Lights Are Lit" and "Stolen Sun"), Leonid Amalrik ("Thumbelina," "Cat House," "Gray Neck") and other masters of the magical world of animation on which generations of children have grown up.
Directors Irina Margolina and Sergei Kuzmin tried to recreate the unique images of these individuals along with their personalities, habits, peculiarities, and tastes.
The films feature unique interviews and footage from recent years, as well as materials from the archives of Studio M.I.R. and the Cinema Museum.
