Innopolis, the “city of the future”, was officially launched in the Russian region of Tatarstan in 2015, and its construction is still in progress. It’s the first city built in Russia since the end of the Soviet Union. Some of the best IT specialists flock there from all over the country, forming a completely new community. Another part of the community are the city workers - ordinary people from the nearby villages. The coexistence of the two worlds, old and new, underlines not only the differences but also the striking similarities between them. What if they are, in fact, one and the same?
