The film consists of six “scenes” - fragments of the twenty years of marriage between Marianna and Johan. In great detail, step by step, the author shows how abortion, infidelity and hypocrisy gradually lead a divorce. But the divorce suddenly turns out to be an excellent way to show each other understanding, compassion, sincerity - and now the feelings of ex-spouses re-emerge with new vigor.
