IN SEARCH OF RURAL UTOPIAS

The film explores how utopian ideas envisioned by the Soviet agrarian economist Alexander Chayanov are reflected in the agricultural enterprises of today. In their thought-provoking quest, the authors of the film visited several peasant family households, ecovillages, and farms across Russia to examine the state of the modern rural economy, discuss the problems and prospects of Russian agriculture.
