The film follows Alexander Shaenko, an engineer and the driving force behind Russia's first amateur satellite developed by space enthusiasts. The satellite was launched into orbit but failed to deploy. But this misfortune did not stop the team. Now they are developing a closed biosphere based on microalgae designed as a life-support system for long-distance space flights. So far, not everything works out, but, as an old proverb says, the path is made by walking.
